Practical information

There’s a lot of conflicting advice about healthy eating  online, in magazines, and on packaging. Even manufacturers often promote products as “healthy,” making it hard to know what’s true. Our colleague Milou Veenhuis helps you cut through the confusion and find what works for you. This workshop is perfect for anyone who wants to eat healthier but doesn’t know where to start.

You’ll learn:

  • Where to find reliable nutrition information
  • How to read and understand labels
  • What nutrients do in your body
  • Which common food myths aren’t true
  • Practical tips to stay consistent

During the workshop, you’ll practise reading labels in a mock supermarket setting. So you’ll know exactly which products fit your healthy lifestyle.

Milou: “I want to give you tools to decide for yourself whether your food choices are healthy. Whether it’s a trendy new product or grandma’s old-fashioned pea soup.”

Milou told a good story and had time to answer questions. She engaged us with examples from everyday life. Very inspiring to continue with.

It was good because nothing was imposed. It always remains your own responsibility what you consume. You don’t want someone telling you what you can’t have or what’s not good. And Milou didn’t do that; she talked more about alternatives. Milou tries to make you aware of what you are actually eating. A bit of awareness. Knowing where and how food is made. I found that quite interesting.

That within a short time, many items related to food are discussed, and it goes beyond just food.

I already had a lot of knowledge about nutrition because I find it super interesting, but I really learned new things from Milou! I also find it very reassuring to have things confirmed or debunked by a specialist, because nowadays there is so much information available that you no longer know what is true and what is not.

Milou shares the theory and directly links it to practice. During the training, there is plenty of room for questions, and I felt that all my questions were answered. Many new insights!

Presented in a fun and enthusiastic manner. On advice, I bought a book on this subject. There was a lot of interaction.
